For the majority of us, it takes a lot longer than 1 month to know if you have met your life partner. The first 6 - 8 months is the time of euphoria (when you say things like, "she's perfect) and everything is peachy. But believe me ~ there is no perfect human and we don't see humans for who they are until the rose colored glassed fall off.
It's okay to freak out and feel something wild and fun, but that feeling has to grow and change into mature, true love in order to last a lifetime. If the connection is healthy in a spiritual, intellectual, emotional and physical way ~ chances are you'll be able to build a solid foundation for a lifetime of trials and tribulations.
Take Your Time Sister.
Get to know her.
Breathe!
Not everyone comes into our lives to be our 'Life' partners; many of them come into our lives to teach us things.
It will be what its meant to be and nothing you do will change that, so just relax, take your time and enjoy what will be a very interesting summer of 2013. (hug)
I am SO excited for you:):):):) I very much agree with Miss TeriLyn that it takes time to explore how we truly feel about someone but do enjoy the amazing euphoria of being in a new relationship with someone you're excited about:)
It seems to me like this is a great opportunity for you to learn to trust and mend some of the pain from your former relationships. You might want to explore why you are afraid of falling in love or being vulnerable? I wonder if there is an LGBT group on campus that might explore these very topics and more.
It's great you're reaching out on DS and to your friends and family. Have fun- you deserve it!
Calm down! Don't rush things, don't fret. You can't help your feelings and if you do end up falling in love with her that can't be helped. Don't spend your time together fretting about when she's going to break your heart, it may push her away!
Take things slowly and enjoy yourself.
