I have been avoiding getting involved for what feels like a long time now. Even though I feel I should be ready to get in a relationship again I run before anything can really get too far along, leaving the other person confused and/or angry. The last situation I was in, with my ex girlfriend, was chaotic and unhealthy, to say the least, but I think this probably goes even beyond that...probably going back to the home I grew up in. Is it possible to ever get over the past I'm wondering, and if so, how do you do it? I have times I'm lonely and would like to go through life with a partner but it seems like whatever this is that's stopping me wins out every time.

when you make that conscious (and truthful) decision to change and live for you and to be happy that is when things change for the better, living in the present moment and believing that you are deserving of a life and relationships that you so deserve.
