My girlfriend and i decided to call it quits today. I'm upset but i think it is what is in the best interest for both of us. Since she was my first love this is gonna be a hard one to get over. And i don't think anyone gets over their first love. I know its going to take some time but i hope her and i can remain friends. I miss how our relationship was and how happy we used to be together. But since i live and Maryland and she in Arizona, and we have been together for 10 months long distance, the distance has gotten to me and i know in my heart breaking things off was the best for us both. I do not have the money to go out there and see her and it sucks, i also know that yes i am almost 20 and live with my dad, that he will not let me go out there and see her by myself. These are just some of many walls i have ran into in our relationship. This kind of thing sucks and i wish we lived closer but i was just wondering if anyone has ever been though what i have been through or anything like this at all. I'm upset and just would love to hear some advice. Thank you for listening.

Karleyjo- I'm sorry it didn't work out. I know how painful it can be. Unfortunately, there's no shortcut, no quick and easy answer on how to deal with it. You just have to go through the pain to get to the other side. The good news is that you will. Try to be kind to yourself and know that this too shall pass. Life will bring you many joyous things.

I think I can safely say that most of us lost our first loves. Yes, it sucks, doesn't it? However take the best from that relationships as a foundation to building a new one that will come to you in the fullness of time.It really hurts now, but that too, will pass. ((HUGS))

My 6mo twin DD's are EBF and just started rice cereal on the first. Everything has been going fine except this morning one of them had a diaper rash (lots of redness around her anus).
