Do you think 40 is too late to come out? Do you think I should just introduce my Mom to my GF and come out that way? I'm afraid my Moms friends may see us and tell her first. I'm confused everyone said to just let it be and she finds out thats fine but, since I haven't really came out to myself its not worth telling my Mom???? I've been with women for 7yrs...I'm still confused!

I honestly don't think it's ever too late to come out. You're 40 babe, haha and you've been with women for 7 years. You're on your own, and even though its hard to come out, your mom isn't the boss of you anymore. I think that if you're afraid your mother's friends would see you two together and she may find out that way, then you should just come out and say it. [easier said than done ha]. But if I was your mom, I would honestly hate that you felt like you couldn't come and tell me.. and I had to find out from one of my friends, yknow?

Honey, I came out at 37. And I told my Mum (actually, she guessed). It was slightly awkward for a few minutes....but my mother loves me...and whatever made me happy was okay with her.

If you've been with women for that length of time...you know who you are. It's more about you accepting yourself than your mother accepting you.
