Hello I'm new here and new to LDN. I suffer from fibromyalgia/CFS, Interstitial Cystitis, lower back and tailbone pain. I have been fortunate to see the medical team at Stanford and as part of an entire treatment plan they are prescribing LDN. After everything I've read about it I am really hopeful that it will help me. Most of my pain is in my pelvic area and related to my bladder. My fibro symptoms are not so much pain except the soles of my feet but mainly fatigue, heat/cold intolerance, dizziness, inability to exercise.. I'm probably forgetting what else. All of this causes me a lot of anxiety. So I took my first dose last night. I was prescribed 4.5 mg but the pharmacist told me most people start out lower and play around with the dosage. Since I am very sensitive to meds I decided to take just 1.5 mg last night and see how I do. I have read different ideas from people here who take more or less. Fortunately the only side effect I had last night was vivid dreams and I'm guessing that mean I didn't sleep as well since I felt like I was in a dream state all night. I don't feel unrefreshed this morning though so I'm hopeful. Does this side effect go away? Did anyone here start with a lower dose and move up or stay at a lower dose? How long until you felt benefits and what kind of benefits did you experience besides pain relief? I would love to be rid of this heat/cold intolerance!

I am allergic to Sulfa drugs meaning that my throat will swell up so my Neurologist put me on Topamax. I was suffering from major loud whoosing noises and the topamax helped that but everyday I still hear those mainly between 6 - 12 pm. I am at my wits end and have not went...
