If you're eating commercially produced eggs the bacteria thing is unlikely. Eggs produced in a commercial facility are washed thoroughly with a mild detergent solution not long after they're laid by the hens and then they're kept cold all the way to the store. The odds of you being able to get it any cleaner by washing it don't seem likely.

When you have a problem with eggs are they eggs you prepare yourself or when you eat out? Eggs in a restaurant may well have something else added to them before cooking.

There is no dairy in eggs, so that may be a whole other thing. However as the previous poster mentioned, if you're getting scrambled eggs at a restaurant, 90% of the time they use milk and butter (some mercifully use oil). And keep in mind that other kinds of cooked eggs could likely be prepared in a butter-soaked pan. If you're having these reactions at home with no added dairy, then you should think about seeing an allergist. If it's solely eating out then, like me, you get to be the annoying one at the table who makes the server ask the chef if they use yadda yadda yadda...

Eggs are separate from lactose. I know when I tell people I can't have dairy because i am lactose intolerant they always think I can't have eggs.
However, I did notice that eggs bother me because of a gall bladder problem I have totally separate issue - I think?

I can't tolerate eggs and I'm lactose intolerant and wheat too. I think I can eat the egg whites though so try that. Eggs make me feel so nauseas and I get shocking stomach pains and bloating from them but I must admit I haven't tried just egg whites yet.

Funny for me it is the egg whites that bother my stomach. We are so different yet the same...
