What exactly is your worry? Some of us have Chronic Kidney Stones and always have stones in our Kidneys, Dr.'s don't do anything about them unless they become a problem. I have an ultrasound every 4 months to monitor my liver (liver disease) and Kidney Stones. They can't just go in every time you have a stone, your body can't take that kind of abuse and many stones just pass on their own. That 30mm stone you had was very unusual, it's not a normally reoccurring thing.

I hope your recovering ok from your PCNL. I had that procedure done about 2 years ago. This past week I had a liptrophsy done on my left side and had a stent put in. I ended up getting an infection and was in the hospital for a few a days. I just seen my doctor and he tells me I have 5 stones on my right side ranging from 4mm down. He also told me to wait it out and drink water like crazy. This kidney stone stuff is messing with my mind. I have had so many procedures over the past 2 years it has taken over my life and throwing me into depression. The pain and stomach upset had not gone away. Not sure where to go from here.
