After effects of passing a stone?

I have finally passed a 3 mm stone after weeks of it being stuck in my right ureter. Urologist confirmed today that my CT scan showed no stone. I didn’t ‘catch’ the stone in my strainer but was told I could have missed it. I am having urinary urgency now, but no pain. Urologist says the stone could still be in my bladder and will likely come out without me knowing or my ureter may have been hurt from the stone and will need to heal. Is this something anyone has experienced? The urgency comes and goes, worst most at night. I’m still drinking plenty, but this comes even after I pee. I’m happy and relieved that I will not have to go through with surgery (which was planned for tomorrow if the stone was still stuck)!

Yay! I'm glad you have passed the stone. I think some scarring of the uterer is possible from large stones, except the really smooth ones. Urgency might indicate that the stone is still in your bladder, but it might also just be an effect of residual irritation of the urethra. I get it usually when I have a UTI.

I just remember being really tired for several days after, while I caught up on sleep.

Dream ~ I have Uric Acid Stones and am trying now to do a diet on my own to reduce the ph level. My last urine test was above the norm. I have had two kidney stones between October and November 2019. I have had to had one removed in the past from my bladder as one was too large to pass.

For me, I feel spasms and pain in my flank for several weeks after the stone has either been removed or it went out on it's own. This is normal for me.
