Irritable Bowel Syndrome (IBS) Support Group
Irritable bowel syndrome is a common intestinal disorder that is characterized by bloating, abdominal pain, diarrhea, cramping, and constipation. Typically no abnormalities appear during standard medical testing, and so irritable bowel syndrome is identified by the symptoms. Although irritable bowel syndrome can cause serious discomfort, the intestines are not harmed.
There are three things though that I can suggest that I hope will bring you comfort. One, I was told when I was going through all of my tests that sometimes it can take years for a condition to fully develop like an IBD. So what doesn't show up today, may in the end, show up next week or next month. (Mine ended up being a simple infection that kept lingering on in my colon). Secondly, remember always that your body is your body. It may not want to work with you, but eventually you will hopefully find a balance that works for you. Lastly, take lots of deep breaths and try to focus on today and make the best of it that you can. Take it hour by hour if you need too. Somehow though, hopefully, you will find the strength to get through this and know if you ever need support, someone will be here.
Best wishes and I hope you find your answers soon.
