Irritable Bowel Syndrome (IBS) Support Group
Irritable bowel syndrome is a common intestinal disorder that is characterized by bloating, abdominal pain, diarrhea, cramping, and constipation. Typically no abnormalities appear during standard medical testing, and so irritable bowel syndrome is identified by the symptoms. Although irritable bowel syndrome can cause serious discomfort, the intestines are not harmed.

I had the same issue - so nauseated I couldn't stand. I was diagnosed with silent GERD. Taking over-the-counter omeprazole for seven days helped. I only have had to take it about 3x a year. You do need to figure out your food triggers. They are different for everyone.
I have been on and off of antibiotics through my life so yeast has also been causing the problem. Biobest yogurt and garlic seem to be really helpful.
After I had chemotherapy for breast cancer, my IBS became worse and I did lose 20 pounds, but gained it back when the doctor put me on Elavil 20mg., which really helped with the bloating and gave me a good appetite.
We are all so different. It's very distressing to be nauseated. I hope and pray you find the solutions for your body. isabelle1954
