Typically no abnormalities appear during standard medical testing, and so irritable bowel syndrome is identified by the symptoms. And I totally relate to your feelings of anti-climactic. My life has been revolved around my IBS and anxiety. Now I can live my life. What does that mean exactly?
As I've had the IBS most of my life, and I am beyond grateful that it improved dramatically, I don't really know how to live without it.
I'm in the process of evaluating what that all means and it's both exciting and overwhelming.
