Irritable bowel syndrome is a common intestinal disorder that is characterized by bloating, abdominal pain, diarrhea, cramping, and constipation. Typically no abnormalities appear during standard medical testing, and so irritable bowel syndrome is identified by the symptoms. Although irritable bowel syndrome can cause serious discomfort, the intestines are not harmed.

Hi. After a horrid stomach bug I seem to now be having a bad time with IBS, c which has made me feel very low, tired and grumpy. when will it all stop I pray. Sorry to sound so fed up, I am so tired. Hope you all are coping better than me and continue to take care of yourselves, love to all, ann xxxxxxxx

Hang in there. It is awful, especially when you feel your body is out of control and you don't fully understand why or how to change that. Try to stay strong and remind yourself of all the good aspects of your life, even the smallest things that you can cherish and hopefully that will help carry you through. Good luck and best wishes.

i'm new to IBS but have battled with gastritis for 15 months and know all to well about flare ups and the nightmare starting again. You will move beyond this. Breath and take one day at a time, good or bad, one day at a time. Its the easiest way to cope. I know our sanity can hang in the balance many days.
Vent and blow off steam in here. We're all here to support each other and help each other through the dark times and to celebrate the good.
Remember to celebrate even the smallest of victories.
