Interstitial Cystitis (IC) Support Group
Interstitial Cystitis (IC) is a urinary bladder disease of unknown cause characterised by pelvic and intense bladder pain, urinary frequency (as often as every 10 minutes), and pain with urination. It is not unusual for patients to experience nocturia and pain with sexual intercourse. IC is also known as painful bladder syndrome (PBS), particularly outside of the USA.
I also have CFS and IC and cannot give up the coffee no matter what I do.. It helps me get through my day of chasing after 2 small kids. It causes much pain with my bladder and I KNOW I have to not drink it to feel better.. I have had IC for many years but finally got diagnosed 7 years ago.. I have had CFS for 2 1/2 years...
I have to say that the thing that is my absolute lifesaver for BOTH conditions is Acupuncture.. It helps my bladder tons and also with energy and other wonderful CFS symptoms...
I hope you are feeling well

Terr I'm glad you said that about the B vitamins, those are what caused this flare in me! I'm going to stop those. I'll be sure to tell my doc, writing this down. I can't drink decaf coffee I get too tired. I told my doc that and she tested my blood so when I get those results back I'll tell her. She also knows about my bladder pain. Ironically she said it isn't IC b/c I don't have blood but today I noticed the blood for the first time, I think I was in denial/taking pyrdium. It only was bloody after I drank coffee. when I drank water it was clear an hour later. so mine is not as bad as some of the ladies on here which is encouraing. I am so glad to be a member of daily strength. I am ordering some aloe a woman on here recomended and being treated for a vaginal infection that excaberates it so I have hope.
Mars, I have never had acupuncture but my roommate and many people think I should. I guess I will get that next month instead of the massage I get every three months. you know, that stuff is expensive. but worth it. so take care! thanx again!

HUGS to you all :)
B12 alone I think would be great. you're getting other B vitamins from canteloupe, salad and other veggies and fruits.
