For those of you who have IC caused by candida yeast (like me) I want to share with you what I have found. The Body Ecology Diet by Donna Gates is the most effective treatment for candidiasis that I have tried. The more the candida has 'dried up' the more the IC symptoms have disappeared. Even if you don't have candida or your aren't sure, I suspect that the BED would help with IC because it helps heal many conditions. I have been on the BED for almost a year and a half and it has done wonders to heal me of candida AND IC. I would love to hear anyone's success stories with this or answer any questions. I know IC is treatable, even if candida doesn't apply to you. In my experience, doctors have very little knowledge about how to treat IC because it is not a common disease. Getting to the bottom of WHAT IS CAUSING your IC is absolutely ESSENTIAL and can be different from individual to individual. IC has been so unbearably miserable to deal with but once I starting changing my inner terrain, my body began healing itself from the inside. I hope this helps.
