Interstitial Cystitis (IC) is a urinary bladder disease of unknown cause characterised by pelvic and intense bladder pain, urinary frequency (as often as every 10 minutes), and pain with urination. It is not unusual for patients to experience nocturia and pain with sexual intercourse. IC is also known as painful bladder syndrome (PBS), particularly outside of the USA.

I was wondering, are any of you on government assistance/permanent disability? I swore I would never do that and that I would work, etc. but this semester has beaten me so far into the ground physically that I feel like completely giving up. Withdrawing from university and going on. disability. I feel like giving up. Please tell me if you have gone through this and what it's like. Thank you.

I cant imagine having to study, I dont know how your doing it sweetheart. When I get stressed out my pain becomes more intense.
Today while I was driving to work, I was praying the entire way that I would not fall asleep. I dont know how I managed to work the entire day at work I was so exhausted. I have a new flex schedule, I work 4 nine hour days and then one half day. It seems like this disease gets worse instead of better.
How much longer do you have? Would you be able to work at home when your finished with school?
