im 16, i met an 18 year old black guy.. we dated and i just fallen in love with him. He treated me like a princess. He is so perfect. my parents are racist , just so against other races.  He doesnt want to be with me cause he is scared we will get caught and something bad will happen. So he claims the only way to fix this situation is to end it and block me just shut me out his life. What do i do? Just move on ?

I know that feeling hun. He just may not be ready for that right now. My parents wasn't very happy with me dating a black man when I told them at first. I was really worried what my grandpa would have said when he found out. My dad was not very happy with it at first. My mom didn't like the idea either. But over time and after meeting him and seeing him a few times, they liked him and didn't have a problem with it. Two of my three kids are mixed and my parents and family don't treat my mixed kids any different then my non mixed child. Me and my sisters all date outside our race, me and my younger sister date black men and my baby sister is dating a Mexican and they have a child together. Your family may think that you could do better but they just need to come to terms that you are happy being with him and just try to talk with them about how you feel. I mean, we cant help who you fall in love with, not suppose to. hugs.

unfortunately he may be right, with you being under age it is more than just your parents being mad about you dating a black guy, they could potentially press charges on him assuming you two were intimate. I don't see any reason you two can't be friends though I don't see a need to cut you completely out of his life? My advice would be to wait until your 18 and if you still feel the same way about him then pursue him again. You may just be in love with someone else at that time.

I hate to say this but it's in your words that you write how this relationship is to play out.

You are both so young to have to be hiding and dealing with this. I know a friend who was black and dated a white girl in high school. They dated all of high school hiding their relationship. Going to prom with friends so they could be together. It was hard for them. She would ride in his car with her seat laid down through town.

Eventually they both went their separate ways in college.

He did end up marrying another white woman and has been happily married with children.

I just think that is a lot on your plate at such a young age. Being in love shouldn't be about race but not all things in life are fair. You are living with your parents still and under their roof, until you are independently on your own.
