I am sure at times the bad service is race related however bad service seems to be a growing trend and not just in resturants. I don't get out as much as I used to but I'm nearly always amazed at the slowness, rudeness and just plain stupidity of those I find in resturants, grocery stores and other businesses. It is like they resent the customers for making them actualy do something for that pay check they are collecting

I agree with Georgia that bad service seems to be a trend. I have gotten great service out with my family...and we live in Georgia. And we've gone places where the people there just didn't seem to want to be there. It wasn't because of our race. Some people are just jerks. Try not to read to much into it. Being in an interracial relationship can have it's challenges, but everyone doesn't have a problem with it. And the more comfortable and confident you are the less you will notice or even care about what others think.

So its funny that when I go out with my boyfriend everyone is super nice. We look really intimidating. He is 6'5 270 solid and I am 6'3 190. However whenever I go out with my friend a normal looking white guy, people stare and get quiet. We (me and my friend) went to a restaurant and the severer never helped me. The severer only picked up his plates or refilled his drink. My friend told me that he gets that all of the time when he is out with is wife, a black lady. He said they started to rotate their plates so that she would get served.

Follow your gut. When all other reasons are proved implausible, then the ones left that are plausible can be considered.

ha i have had bad service from people so many times. one time that sticks out in my mind is when we [I'm white., my boyfriend is black] went to burger king drive thru kinda late one night and when i handed the lady my money.. who was a black woman.. she said i aint counting all these ones.. it was like 3 ones.. and i was shocked as she stood there with this stank look on her face so i replied back nasty too and told her it was her job to. we then had to pull up for our food and when we did she ended up giving us the wrong order and spilling half of his drink outside of the car. Ive also had something similar happen when we went to McDonald's one day and we both ordered the same thing as we had at the burger king and the black woman said to me why you trying to order the same thing as him.. i just walked off to get my drink and i overheard her say to him don't you see she is white.

I am very curious to where you live? I know that there will be stupidity and ignorance no matter where you go, but i am curious. My girlfriend and I try to travel to spend time away from the little ones when we can. We sometimes get funny looks when we go to some restaurants. We put more focus on ourselves because we refuse to let others mess up our time together. The next time you have an experience like this, you should talk with the manager. Who knows, you may even get a free dinner!!

Me and my hubby lives in a small town in South Carolina were interracial relationships are rare, needless to say we get stares, and even horrible service. But that is just the ignorance in some people. But we still enjoy one another that is the only thing that matters.
