Well... to start with, Goddess worship has been with us since the beginning. It's one reason why a great many turn to alternative religions. They seek the balance between the Sacred Feminine & the Sacred Masculine.

When I was in my early 20's I began a spiritual quest of sorts and started researching various faiths. And upon studying certain NeoPagan paths, I was delighted to find the idea of the Goddess as equal to the God... the idea of balance was key to me. But as I grew in my studies I recognized that for me, the God & the Goddess were simply two aspects of the Allwise. From there it seemed only right to devote myself to the Allwise as opposed to two of It's aspects.

Unfortunately, I foresee one problem for you... you say you desire a Goddess yet you wish to remain Christian. The two just don't mix, though.

You could research the Gnostics' idea of the Sophia ... or even the Shekinah of the Jewish Kabbalah, but that's about as close as you'll get to a Divine Feminine in the Judeo/Christian faiths.

I do have a question, tho... and I ask this only out of curiosity... If you believe Deity has no gender why the desire to find a Goddess specifically?

I believe that God is bigger then male or female, bigger then all the religions and beliefs out there. God just IS. He just IS. we only describe him in terms we're used to using but when I picture God.. I see it more as an entity that can lift up and hold up the whole world and still make room for each one of us. God is supernatural and all encompasing and is inside each one of us.. living in our hearts and minds yet also he's so big that he carries the whole universe on his shoulders. He is so much more then male and female so much more then a bible. so much more then a little church or a big one. so big my mind cant fathom it but i love him and worship him and trust him with my life that he'll get me through somehow no matter what and if i do die from something them i believe i'll be with him then too. that is how i find my comfort and i think people who believe differently have found their comfort too and it's good even if it's different from me. i'm happy when i see someone strong in what they believe. it's good to believe in something.

According to the bible, God is a male. While He can certainly play all roles to everyone... He is male & His only begotten son Jesus is also male. Im curious as to why you feel He is female. Have you been taught this somewhere?

I was raised to pray to God the father, and that didn't work for me. God the mother works. Maybe I just had to rebell from my upbringing, or maybe I find it easier to pray to a female version of God b/c I am female and can relate, maybe it is something else. I just can't imagine I'm the only female that feels this way, that it is easier to pray to a female version of God.

No... you aren't the only female that feels the need to acknowledge the Divine Feminine. Have you done any research into this topic? If not, maybe you should. You'd see that your thoughts are echoed by a great number of women...and men!

Let me just say this to you. Your absolutely right God is neither Male nor Female He is THE CREATOR. Our jobs is to just worship the best way we know how... Peace........
