I have some potentially good news for you.
Although you know I am not a big proponent of drug therapy for insomnia, there might be a new class of insomnia drugs that might help you. Called suvorexant.

Not yet approved. But apparently different than Ambien, Lunesta, and other classes of sedative-hypnotics. This new one may work to reduce the "never feel tired" symptoms you describe.
Might ask your psychiatrist about this. And continue to try to make the best of the situation you've got.
