Insomnia Support Group
Insomnia is a symptom, rather than a disease, and is characterized by inadequate quantity or quality of sleep. Something that has been the most beneficial (and I have tried EVERYTHING) is sleep restriction therapy. I joined Sleepio Dec 7th, 2013. It has changed my life. I am still struggling with sleep, I am told it can be a long process. But for the first time in over a year I have been able to sleep in my bed, sleep solid blocks, and actually see an improvement.
Sleepio has wonderful community support to guide and encourage you along the way. It is under $90 for the course. Like I said, I have tried every supplement, pharmaceutical, labwork, you name it and this is the ONLY thing that has been promising. Please look into it.
I understand your situation. I was in your position and went to the emergency room and got Valium. Now I'm on the road to recovery.
Steps
1. Quit Job because work performance was affected by tiredness and caused huge anxiety.
2. Got off drugs like Ambien, Mirtazapine etc. which were addictive
3. Went swimming when I had a bad night and could do much. Swimming gave lots of Energy.
4. To get sleep, started jogging in the night as this induces sleep. Also consider getting an 'earthing sheet' from www.earthing.com.
The steps below are more dramatic in their results
5. Pranic healing - This is an eastern technique of allowing energy
to heal the body.
6. Sudarshan Kriya Breathing - Also an Indian technique of breathing at a rhythm that helps in opening up energy channels in the body.
7. Meditation - Things are not going to happen instantly. You have to remember it will be Step by Step and failure is only feedack.
You will get better, trust me.
Message me if you want to know in depth details.
Good luck
