I have two suggestions. My first is a type of tea called "celestial seasonings - sleepy time tea". This is a good idea for you because it makes you feel very drowsy, which might calm your brain down enough to get you to sleep faster. When I take it I feel very tired and have difficulty concentrating on thoughts. My mind just wants to go blank and fall asleep. Its also good for you because, unlike some sleep aids which can knock you out and keep you from waking up, this is natural. It will make you feel tired and fall asleep, but it wont keep you from waking up for your baby.
My other suggestion would to ask your fiance to help you out. Tell him that you want to try a sleep aid (maybe lunesta), but are afraid of not waking up for your baby. Take a pill one night and have him see if you wake up when the baby needs you. Then you could decide whether or not sleeping pills are an ok idea.
good luck :D
My Nana used to swear by warm milk and a banana! She had no problems sleeping and was up at the crack of dawn (or before) every morning! Good luck & sweet dreams.
