He makes me cry ... a lot. My eyes are always puffy now, I'm so embarrassed, anyone know how to reduce the eye swelling?

Lord knows he makes me feel ugly, and stupid, and just flat out useless. Lord knows I've had three good days over the past year. And Lord knows if I had the money, I'd divorce his ASS.

Visine works great for getting rid of the red. Some chilled sliced cucumbers might work well for the swelling.

Not having the money to divorce him is a poor excuse for your missery! You control your emotions and your reactions to what goes on arround you! Green tea bags soaked in cool water work for me. I have the same problem with crying/puffiness. I'm hideous like that.

take cotton balls and soak them in witch hazel ( a liquid you can get at walgreens or variation) then freeze them. place over eys (shut) for 2 or 3 minutes and voila!

Have you tried doing the 180? It has helped me alot from not crying. It does get better over time. After 2 yrs with me I find when it comes up I try to think of things that make me happy. Do what I want to do.. Take charge of your life, even if you cann't leave, you can take charge of yourself.

I did the 180 on him. But when I go to shower or I'm alone, my emotions get the best of me ... I'm just shocked and still in disbelief. I could never do this to someone.

Tea bags, and if you are really desperate, preperation H. Yes I know, sounds nuts, but it does help with the inflammation. Over-the counter treatments for puffy eyes work too. Hang in there, we all have our solitary crying moments. I have learned to limit my cries to no more than 10 minutes and only when I'm alone. No more hibernating in my room while my kids are home. Enough joy has been stolen! All the best.

my favorite for puffy/cry-ie eyes is to put a couple of spoons in the fridge for a few minutes, then lay down & put the spoons over your eyes. takes that puffiness/redness right away, and feels really good, too.

Great question. Cucumbers, washcloths soaked in icewater, Visine, and Olay Eye Recovery Complex 2-3 times daily. My eyes have looked 20 years older through all this but the above things have improved them about 50-60%. Try not to use eyedrops too much because they can overtime cause the blood vessels to 'need' them to stay constricted. Better to try the other cooling methods first.

As a photographer I've noticed a lot of women have that puffy eye problem. I have them put a little Preparation-H under their eyes... it works great! And saves me a lot of time editing the puffy eyes out of the photo!

The best way to get rid of crying eyes is to...stop crying. Make a plan for yourself. "Today, I'm going to..." "Tomorrow I will..." He was selfish to cheat. Now it's your turn to be selfish. How? By taking care of yourself. Let him deal with his own crap. If it's your choice to stay, then stay. If you are done with him, then leave. With a clear conscience. Deep breaths and daily devotions.
