I backed off (in a 180 way) because I’m not quite ready to blow it all up (our lives, kids lives, etc) and I think he is getting the message. I see signs of him trying to end it with her. And since we’ve been through this dance many times before, I know what to look for... He doesn’t seem to realize his face is an opened book.
I’ve decided to work very hard on me, getting my life in order, and my kids - and give him space to work out his issues. He’s not a bad guy. He’s actually a pretty good guy who’s made a huge messy mistake and is dealing with it horribly. I think he’s so caught up in his drama that he still can’t think clearly.
I can do this for a while. Changing my perspective helped A LOT.
