So I see affairs this way ( since I was not married or engaged to my recent ex cheating bastard liar BF)

Physically I am done with him. I miss him but am disgusted that the abused my health and potentially exposed me to gods knows what disease.. I mean he was a medical doctor...wtf

Intellectully I hate cheaters, my ex husband cheated on me and I begged my new man ( the lying cheatign ex bf) to never never do that to me..just dump my sorry ass if he is done with me.. did he ? no..hence the LIAR title

Emotionally man this is the one I struggle with.. .emotionally I miss him, I so wish this was a light switch I could just flick off... damn him.. and when does it end...

Anyone else see it this way?

Sorry for your situation. It took me a while to separate the one I was in love with from the sleazy wacky one that I now have to deal with.

If you can make the decent one re-appear in your life, do everything you can to make it happen. Otherwise, dump the bastard! You deserve better one, and trust me, there are many of them.

Sorry that you are going through this hun.I agree with Plaw you DO deserve better and so much more to.Sometimes its like your ex was like 2 people the lovely kind loving one.Then the cheating lying twat.So hard it really is.When i first met my partner i tried so hard not to get invovled with him.He used to say u cant switch love on and of like a switch and i agree u cant.Shame through.In time it will happen and one day u will think ive not thought of my ex all day.Thats when u know you are getting or have got over it.Im here hun for u always xxxxxxx

Hey 2bhealed, I do remember this. I had to work it all out in my mind too. Get it all separated. When I finally got a handle on it, I came to the conclusion, for me, that I missed who I THOUGHT he was and not who he actually was. What I had wasn't all that real - if it would have been, he would not have cheated on me. So, based on that, emotionally detaching still took some time, but came easier than me blaming myself for his actions.

Sure, you can still care about him and all, but you see he's not good for you. The rest just takes some time.
