Once the anger subsides from what my husband did to me, there is still this heartbreaking fact that I still love him, even though we are not speaking right now. I caught him in the midst of an emotional affair. He was texting another girl that our marriage was over...news to me. I'm so hurt. Have the last 8 years meant nothing to him? I know it's only been a week since I've moved out, but each day seems like an eternity. It gets harder and harder not to text him or call him and try to talk. He's embarrassed I think, and trying to do things to prove that he really is a complete asshole, even though I know he is not a bad person. He needs time to do all the things he's been fantasizing about. But will he ever realize that our relationship was way more meaningful than a string of random nights with a bunch of slutty girls?
I still love him. I still want this to work. He knows all of this, but he isn't thinking about this relationship right now. I don't know what he's doing, who he's with, or what he wants anymore. I know I need to focus on myself, but everything hurts. Getting through a day seems to take everything in me sometimes. I hate crying in public. The reveal of this affair was the hardest. She was brutal in her blame towards me, her flaunting the relationship in front of me, minimizing our relationship and her happiness for the past several years.
2 months have passed and my anger is subsiding too. She's moved out, we aren't speaking either. I've heard her AP ended their relationship. I've told her I can't continue on with her. She's crashing and falling apart. The pleading will start in a few days.
So much of me wants to be with her and have all the good things we've built over the past 9 years together. My kids are heartbroken that she isn't here when they get home. They cry every day. I can see the pain on their faces.
