Has anyone heard of Mort Fertel? I found his" fix your marriage" ad on line and was wondering if anyone heard of him or maybe even tried his program. I have to admit that I'm interested in it. It is an alternative to counseling...you can send for DVD's or do it on line.

I'm stuck in my healing and really need something else. I'm feeling alone in this again and I believe there is something more my H can do to help me but I'm not sure what it is. This program is something you do as a couple and I was thinking at least then I could SEE him working on our marriage. Yes he has done what I asked of him and he is very remorseful but I'm still hurting and will admit a little angry that it seems it's still in my lap. The future of our marrriage that is.

No I haven't heard about it. Try to look for some reviews online, and in Amazon if the DVDs are there. The online reviews should help u decide if it will work for u.

Never heard of him. I am a huge proponent of Dr. Elle Kriteman's "Light Your Fire". You can find out more at www.lightyourfire.com. I bought her series on cassette about 10 years ago and then updated it to CD's about 2.5 years ago. LOVE IT! It's a program about how to behave in a relationship. She is fast paced, funny, to the point and direct.

We found Mort Fertel's Marriage Fitness program very helpful for our marriage. We have been married 8.5 years and have been in counseling almost seven years. Counseling obviously didn't work. Matter of fact it made our marriage worse. The Marriage Fitness foundation is allowing us to rebuild our shattered marriage. The program got through to my husband in a way that three psychologists were unable to in seven years. While our marriage is not fully repaired yet, there is once again hope that my husband and I can be married until death do us part (and I am no longer planning on killing him).

Carol i actually did lol at that comment. Socrushed i have not heard of him but please keep us updated on it i may be interested in it myself. Workingit how expensive are the cds you are talking about. With christmas around the corner i am trying to go easy on things. But if they are not too high i may go ahead and order them if i can find them

I bought Mort program and it was quite helpful. My H listened to some of the tapes but it didn't help him because he was not ready to hear the truth. I even had a phone session with Mort. I would suggest purchasing the program, I listened to the cd's in the car over and over especially when I didn't think I could make it another day. If nothing else it will help you get over the bumps in the road you experience from all the hurt, pain and disbelief.

I haven't heard of the program, but I will say that when my husband put forth effort in ways I could see then it helped me to understand he was truly committed. For us it was about him listening to the Marriage Builders radio show and reading some of their material as I requested, but I think pretty much anything would have showed me he was invested.

If you do get the program, will you let us know how it works out for you? Seems like women are very invested in "fixing" - but guys more reluctant, particularly with outside help. Would be interesting to see if your guy took to the program.

I did send for one of Morts programs. It was the most inexpensive one as I wasn't sure if it would be helpful or not. Although I am excited to get sterted on it when it arrives. It was $76.oo with shipping. There was one for around $100.00 and another for almost $300.00 I think.

The one I sent for includes 5 cds and some worksheets I believe. It is supposed to take 14 weeks if followed correctly. I will let everyone know how it's going once we're into it a bit. My H is completely on board. He will do anything I ask of him to try and make things better for me. I do appreciate that.:)
