my deciding factor was - I have always had an engine in me that says if someone does something to you - don't let them get away with it. If that makes any sense. I don't let people get away with anything. I have too much pride and ego to let anyone take advantage of me - once I figure out what is what. So once I figured out what was going on - it was done. She tried very hard to bruise my ego and self esteem - and still does but I just keep climbing.

Yes - I think there are a lot of good guys out there/here - but I also think that most of them are taken as well - meaning - they wanted to start a family and they have - good guys dont stay single for long - they get swept up and most of the time its when we are youngish.

I was - and when I was - I wasnt looking - I looked (cause Im not blind) but I would never do anything other then look cause I knew what distruction that would bring - plus I had dated enough before hand to know that the grass is not greener on the other side - I had other things to keep my mind filled and happy and that was and still is my family - my boys and my hobbies - sports.

It's bewildering, isn't it? Kevin stared straight in my eyes and lied to me about a very important thing. I mean, really, he knew I was going to find out the truth the minute I arrived in Florida!! What was he thinking? Is it their ego? They think they are so powerful that no one will discover the truth? It's one of the reasons I wonder how people go back to their cheating spouse. I mean, if they can lie to you once, they can do it over and over again. I think lying does get easier the more it's done... I could never go back to someone that blatantly lied to me. But, really, my best to you guys that do and have the marriage succeed. I certainly wish my marriage had succeeded - this is not what I wanted at this stage in my life.

My STBX would never even tell a white lie to anyone about anything. If I even exaggerated the truth telling a story she would correct me. That was for our whole 10 years being married.

Then this - I can only look at it as if someone is on some serious drug and what would a druggy say and do to get their "fix":

Leave their kids - check
Tell everyone lies - check
Try and take money out of our accounts - check

the parrallel is very similar however - as sad as it is - I would rather have my STBX had gone and done drugs cause at least I could get her "help" how do u get help for this stupidity unless they "wake up" and want to get help themselves - normally - its too late.
