How long were you together

I don't know if it is because I tend to add friends who have similar situations as mine, but many of us were married in the 20+ year range when the A occured. In my case we were just a few months shy of our 22 year anniversary when dday hit.

I know that cheating has no boundries but was wondering how long some of the other posters has been married when the A started.

He was cheating when we met and has continued through the duration of our marriage (23yrs. total). We divorced after 11 years because of all the affairs, remarried and just found out that he'd been with another woman for 7 of the past 10 yrs of remarriage.

We were together 7 years before marraige. First affair was 18 months after we were married. Last one was discovered just before out 17th anniversary! Am learning that the 15 years in between were also riddled with indiscretions.

D Day was about 17 1/2 years of marriage. Second D day (can you have 2 D Days?) was about 3 months after the first D Day (I was on to her at that point) there was a third D Day too, but I don't remember when it was, because I was beginning not to give a crap. This was all EA ( I think).

The A happened about 3 weeks after our 10th anniversary. D-day was 3 weeks later on my birthday!

We've been together for 10 years and married for seven. He was texting and emailing her all through our seventh anniversary. I would have said 8 of the 10 years were wonderful. Last two have been hard work, but I never considered abandoning the marriage. Just thought it was a tough patch and didn't have the relationship skills and insight to deal with it that I'm slowing gaining now. Nor did he, obviously.

It started in our third year of marriage and continued for one and a half years.

My DDay was at 21 ys of marriage and then the last one was 23 y and a few days until 24th year anniv... At least that's when I found the text msg... then on Thanksgiving... 24 years and 2 weeks, he left to spend the weekend with another woman... That was the end of it for us...

27years and 5 children! DD 4 years ago...still together but relationship changed considerably. OW still attempts contact with him even after he told her to get lost.
I'm good...we are good....but never take anything for granted ever again.
