I would be interested in hearing - and I am sure a lot of other folks would be extremly interested as well - how the affairs ended.

I have heard stories from WS that protection orders had to be put into place etc.

Details that would also be interested are - how long till it ended (1 year - 2 years).

What is the narritive of it actually ending (it just died a natural death of waking up from the fog and finding out AP was way worse then BS - everything turned out to be a lie etc).

Also, what did it take to get your BS if they werent waiting in the wings as Plan B. What remorse steps were shown/taken.

My EW it was a like a shooting star.

Timeframe: One night
Sexual time : appox 12 hrs
Actvity: 6x times in one night.

End that morning.

My CS ended the 15 month A by telling the OW he needed to work on his marriage. Because she reacted badly (threatening to tell me everything, threatening suicide, etc.), he stayed in daily contact with her via phone and text, but no sexual contact. After 3 months of that, with her trying to re-engage the A and continuing the threats, she ended up sending explicit photos of the 2 of them having sex to my children. One week later was DDay, and they haven't had contact since. The OW continued on for a period of time, contacting every mutual friend/acquaintance we had to tell them how horribly my H was, and that finally ended about 9 months later. Haven't heard anything out of her in a year.

JustUGH - wow that is crazy and sorry to hear about your children having to see/ be involved in that.

I have never taken photos of my ex even while we were married or an ex GF doing the "thing" that is just beyond stupid to me. What's the point...

Who does that and what purpose does it serve.

Just sick.

How you could forgive someone that does that - your awesome.

My H left the OW not because of me but because he was done with her crazy unstable actions. At the time he didn't know if I would be here or not if he wanted to work on our marriage. He was slowly climbing out of the depression that had such a hold on him for three years and was able to finally see the results of his actions.

One year later she still tries to call and text. Most are ignored but once in awhile she will push a button (accusing him of ruining her life bla bla bla) and he responds. IF he doesnt and she is drunk enough she even has the nerve to text me and say to please have him call her!

We always talk about the texts and he is very sensitive and supportive of how I feel.

Yeah, Onyx, if you've never had your children AND your ex-husband sit you down and tell you about your current husband's affair, you just haven't lived!

My poor kids, they didn't know what to do, so they turned to their Dad for advice. Fortunately, my ex is a really decent guy, and was nothing but supportive.

Looking back, it's nothing short of a miracle that my marriage survived, and my H's relationship with the kids has been mended as well. Those first few weeks were horrible beyond belief.

Affair time: about 9 months (probably longer)

When I discovered it, I confronted him, the OW, and told the OW's H...as well as my ex MIL, my family, and probably wouldn't told everyone in my X's phone book if the OW's H hadn't been so embarassed.

The A ended promptly. Not much fun when the sneaking around is gone and the secret is out.
