Infidelity Support Group
Any relationship in which one partner engages willfully in sexual relations with another outside of the partnership is considered to have experienced infidelity. This breach of trust is often traumatizing for the faithful partner as well as the relationship, and support is often needed to heal emotionally and to decide whether or not the relationship should continue after...
I am trying to figure out the same thing. When trust is broken it's hard to get back.
Our MC says the benifit of the doubt, but that is easier said than done.
Reil
Only time will tell whether or not he will be able to withstand being on a short leash with me and not having the freedom he once had. If he can't so be it, he made that bed and he will have to decide if he can sleep in it, but that is what I need and I will accept no less.
worth repeating
--trust that if she ever does this again, I'll leave for good.
--trust that while it may sadden me with what she has done, I won't let it ruin my life.
--trust that God is always going to be there for me no matter what.
As for trusting her?...yes but never completely. She broke that vow when I thought she wasn't capable of it....now that I know she is capable of it, trust is just something I'll ever be able to restore completely anymore. The main thing for me is that I trust myself that I'll just walk out that door if it ever happens again.....not looking back...with no regrets. I've upheld my end...and have given her another shot. I hope she doesn't waste it.
I will love him, but I'll never trust him like I did before.
I can trust that he would take care of me if I become sick, and I can trust that he will never leave me, but I'll never trust him completely. That part of our marriage is gone.
He is different, I'm different, so it is like another marriage. For me, it's like being married to someone that looks like him, but it isn't really him anymore.
But my thought about trust since my H had an affair is that you never REALLY know someone, even your spouse. You cannot know what goes on in their mind.So you have to decide if they have done enough to merit your believing in them.It is a choice you make based on your history and circumstances with that person. That is why they call it TRUST.
