My H's sluts live in different states so I won't be running into them. I don't know how I would handle this if I was faced with seeing them. I think I would have tried to prep myself for running into them. By that I mean that I would have exposed them as soon as I found out about them and I would have confronted them then, right at discovery. If I came across them anytime after discovery, I would probably ignore them. I have to say that if any of them worked in the same place as my H and he would not change jobs, I would have just divorced him because I would not want to spend my time wondering and worrying whether or not he was still involved with them. I really don't think I would be able to put up with them being so close to one another. How I would react
to the sluts would also depend on how they acted upon seeing me. Assuming my H is with me if and when I ever saw them would be another factor to consider. I think, though, for the most part, I would just ignore them. It depends on a couple things, though.

Luckily i live in another state 1000 miles away so it is not an issue for us. If i had to answer this truthfully i would say you dont handle them. They are really not the problem anyway. The H or W that cheated is the problem.. Unless you have one of those persistant losers that doesnt get the fact the A is ovr and stalks then its a diffrnt story.

In general i would ignore the OP as much as humanly possible no matter how much you would like to beat them into a bloody pile.

My H's OW lived next door - literally! Thank goodness she moved away in August before I found out in October. If she had still lived there when I found out at 10:30 p.m. on that night....well, lets just say she might have been having her food through a straw, if she was able to eat at all. I probably would have been in jail. Not sure if hubby would have paid my bail either.

I am so glad that I am not a violent person...hehehehehaaaa (evil laugh)!!!

As it stands now, I do not have to see her and may not run into her as our city is fairly large. I feel now that I would probably just look at her like the roach she is and walk away. Oh wait, that is disrespectful to roaches. Sorry roaches :-)

This makes me sad when we refer to the OW as a slut.

I think I read in Not Just Friends that a couple should talk about how they'll handle that scenario which for some will be inevitable -- basically to present a united front, stay by each others' sides, perhaps nod acknowledgment if socially necessary, say at a business function. Be civil, but not friendly. Exude neither warmth nor wrath. Act indifferent to their presence.

As you all have read, the OW is still directly across the street from me - right now...over there...as I type this, over there. I have tried to imagine what it would be like if my H and I were working on this - instead of divorcing. Our house is for sell - happening slowly of course. Several posts, especially this one from crazymoon have made me wonder how in the world that would be. Isn't this a bizarre thought? Would we live here...how would we do this? Crazymoon - I think that you and your H need to just discuss a plan for this - so that you are not caught off guard. Seeing her will suck - but, if you have a "rehearsed" reaction - it may be easier. I am trying to work on this myself. It is inevitable that I will run into Grace - (I like to call her DisGrace) - as we live in a small city in SC - there are only a few main shopping areas, etc. I am looking to move away from this corner of our city to another corner so that I can avoid seeing her as much as possible...well...and to avoid seeing my H too! The sucky thing there is that both me and my H work at the University of SC!!! My main hope and prayer is that I heal, repair and grow enough so that when I see either of them I will handle it with dignity and little pain. Right now the wounds are so fresh - I am still bleeding. Luckily the OW "hides" over there - avoids me as much as I do her. Also, since it's so cold here lately - we aren't really out in our yards much - I stay on my deck in the back if I go out. Oh the strangeness! Good luck, CM!

Well she is very very aware of me, I just didnt take this lying down, oh no, neither did her husband , my H was going to quit and put in his two weeks notice but he had a good job and I was enrolled in college and he said it was up to me, he would quit and go pump gas if he had to , not saying that pumping gas is less then honorable, it is not , but I live in Michigan and jobs are hard to come by and he was supporting all 4 us , he then went to work 3 hours aways at another plant, but on occasion he would call me and I would run errands forh im since he was tyring to run both plants I would go to the one closest to us ,and I would have either talk to her via the phone 'Wich I knew it was her but she thought I didbt know it was her " my Husband ahd no clue that I had to actually talk to her he was horrified when he did find out ,but I took it all in stride, b/c this the plan we made , or have to got the shop in wich she would literally I MEAN literally RUN away from me, and lock her self in her office or car, then eveyrone looked at me like I was a psycho, Ive been nothing but coridal nad respectful on his job site, thats how I am, off the grounds thats a different story .Oh, what I would not do to her..... Ive never layed a finger on her since all ths said a few choice thigns to her, Im in the nursing program and if I get in any type of trouble them I get kicked out but she is a coward and a liar. to boot, says all these crazy things about me, how I follow her home ,Ive' gotten into the shop and gotten into her offic and stole things I dont even know where her office is ,I didnt even know she had one ,My H of course told her and his bosses that he there is no way in hell I would do those things, and she told my H , about me his wife of 16 years 'I dont see what is so speical about her " ok now leaving crazytown... I would mos.. def like to knock some sense into her but I think that ship has sailed a long time ago.

I have done something that's worked for me... I stop in my tracks and stare her down.

She used to work at the same school with my H until she was let go last summer and now she works at the rival school down the block. I pass her house every single day that I go to the school (I now work there part time), and I see her in town sometimes. The few times that I saw her walking to her car or down a hallway at school I've done this and she literally looks like she wants to jump out of her skin and hide.

We've seen her in a restaurant in town and sat 10 feet from her. She was at the bar and I positioned myself at the table so that I was facing her and my H was sideways. I caught her checking out my diamond ring that is rather large and sparkly and she couldn't stop turning around and looking at us. I made sure that I was staring at her every time she took a glance. My H made sure that we held hands more then usual and we talked the whole night.

I relish running into her...

blindsided- sometimes referring to them as a pet name takes away some of the power and hurt. If I were a guy and my wife had cheated, I would call the OM a name too.

As for me, I am so lucky not to have to deal with the OW skank. I can't imagine the pain of having to deal with that person on a regular basis. I imagine I might end up arrested!

Blindside...according to the Bible, a woman who lays down with another man is an adulteress and a prostitute. I am not above calling my husband's person a whore. It is what she is. I am not insulting her, it is what the Bible says she is.
