I chose to stay with my boyfriend after finding out he cheated on me with one of our friends and had multiple inappropriate conversations with other girls. We have never talked to her since I found out. I haven't told anybody that he cheated. But a few people know that he was out with her one night and neither of them would answer my calls (supposedly he did not cheat that night). I was so heart broken that night. almost more heart broken then when I found out a few weeks later that he had actually cheated on me with her a year before. He swears up and down that it was only that one time and that nothing happened that night he wasn't answering my calls. My brother was really there for me those few days after the night I suspected my boyfriend was cheating. I was crying so much I would throw up... I didn't eat for days. Recently my brother went and hung out with her. It really hurts my feelings and pisses me off. I guess my question is... can I expect people who are close to me to not hang out with her? I stayed with my boyfriend and nobody else knows what happened.

I wish couples counseling wasn't so expensive :[

do either you or him have medical insurance? if so most plans cover couples counseling under their mental health or behavior health sections. Most plans either have no co pay for them or they ahve a 25 or 40 dollar co pay.

I don't know if you live in a college town or not, but my boyfriend and I found couples counseling at the local university for only $15 a session. It is students and they do video tape the sessions, but it's really easy to forget about that when you're actually in the session. I definitely think it's something to look into because it's the only way we could afford counseling too since neither of our insurances covered it.

my school does offer couples counseling but both people have to be students there and more boyfriend isn't. my insurance only covers family therapy.

i think it's pretty obvious to my brother seeing as she was one of our best friends and now we haven't talked to her in almost a year and I openly hate her.

I feel like even if people knew.. the fact that i stayed with him would be reason enough for them to stay friends with her. When something like this happened to me 4 years ago and I completely stopped talking to the guy, my "friends" kept inviting the other girl when I was going to be there. luckily my best friend at the time was always there. but then she tried to (or possibly did i'll never know the truth) hook up with my current boyfriend. I don't have many friends left and I don't want to move back around all those crappy people and memories but it's looking like that is what i'll be doing this summer. ugggggggghhhhh fml

If a true friend of yours (or family member - your brother) knows this happened and STILL hung out with her, they are not being loyal or true to you and you have to decide if you will tolerate that. I have ended 2 long friendships because they "didn't want to get in the middle" and hung out with my ex and the OW he left me for. I don't want friends like that.

Ya I've pretty much stopped talking to all my friends back home. I'm moving back to the area in a few months tho and am dreading the possibility of running into them or the other girl. Its giving me anxiety just thinking about it.
