Oh well...
My stupid husband confessed to me 2+ years ago about an affair he had 12-14 yrs previous w/ his secretary that last about 18 months- daily contact! I spent the first 6 months in shock. Then reality set in.
I have been in counseling for all that time and had 3 therapist. The present one is for PTSDand I have been w/ her for 14 months. I am deeply grieving a death, with no grave to go to. We are living together.
We have a large really great family and many friends and activities.
It's hard for me to leave that and there would be some loss.
After a year, on my drs. orders, she suggested we separate.
This was doing a bad thing to my health. I went at picked out an apartment, gathered everything I would need, and then just couldn't do it. Now, it would be the opposite. I am relaxed in my home and he would have to be the one to move out.
AS of today, and I don't know how I will feel in 2 days, but I am discovering something. My H is out of town for pleasure kind of, selling a nice car in the Barratt Jackson auction. Most of you won't know what that is unless you are a car nut. It is for high end cars. It's on TV on speed channel quite a bit. I will join him in 3 more days. First, I am not a car nut, kind of boring, but this is a BIG party you may say and secondly, I can't spend 24/7 with him for an extended period of time. I truthly am more relaxed with him not here. I do things when I want, and know, I don't have to face him when I come home. we always did get along well before DD but it's different now. When he called a few hours ago, he asked if I missed him. It was hard to tell him, not too much. I said so many things have changed since DD. I said, I bet you never saw her doing some of these little things that I do. He said he doesn't even think about it, but I do. She seduce him big time, always doing all those "lady" things, like re applying her Liz Taylors, passion perfume etc. I feel like I can't be "ME" who I always was so we shall see what happens next. The spark of the marriage is definitely gone. I am sorry for him, but he made his choice both in the affair and telling me about 12 years later! He loves me very much now and is remorseful and trying to win me back, but for me it's just gone. My love for him went from the top of a mountain to the bottom of a very deep hole. Sorry
Again thanks for listening and telling me your story ;)
