I'm praying for you and your children.
and has had a affair and ask for a temporary restraining order to the house....
the alcoholism can make them do these crazy things...i am older now and understand more and am educated now....there brain works different from non alcoholic...the alcohol is just like a person on drugs or cocaine...they are mentally sick.
they only think about self absorbed thoughts and actions, self pity, self righteous, evil thoughts and desires,no conscious or rational thinking at all...........
i would kick him out and make hiim go to aa and get clean and if he doesnt...end it and if he goes to aa......make him have 3 mths clean before coming home....
it worked for me and my h is a angel now and has his brain back and is rational and caring and compassionate and loving and sees how out of control he was...but it took 2 yrs of trying before i finally just kicked him out and would not let him come back until he had stopped drinking....and then it took him a couple of months trying to finally get it...that was his only option...and he is a different person to the point it is unbelievable...and he is so ashamed of all of his behavior....
you can force him to hit bottom by doing this and he wont stop until that happens.
my only mistake was not seeing he was a alcoholic sooner and trying to reason with him rather than kicking him out until he quit and got clean....
if i had known...it could be done that easily...i would have done it sooner but i had to read alot of books and talk to fellow aa people who advised me....
i was a enabler allowing him to do whatever without concrete lines and making him leave...his brother said to me...the only reason i dont do this...is my wife would never take it and neither should you....that is all he needs to know....he is a alcoholic and you are enabling him although you havent realized it yet....
I thank god now that he gave me the courage and the patience and the guidance to get to where i am now with him bec it is huge
Please be careful. Follow your heart and God Bless You and your family.
And, remember- all attorneys don't have the same price tag. Many of them just flat out overcharge. When I went through my divorce, I was quoted 2,000 up front, 1200.00 up front then money per hour AND THEN 300 to file. If he fights it, then by the hour. Ultimately, I ended up doing it myself, which is ANOTHER thing you can do.
I filed PRO SE. Granted, I'm a paralegal and it was much easier on me, but there ARE pro se packages you can find online and buy. Pro Se just means on behalf of yourself. If it gets messy, you will need to call in a lawyer though.
