I feel the need to have a real discussion about this website. This is where my husband found his LW. They illicitly met at a bar, presumably drink and ended up at a hotel. From there, they proceeded to "fall in love". He found out about this website from a friend at poker. It seems that none of the women I know have ever heard of this.
I wanna scream it from the rooftop! As I have worked through my recovery, which will be never ending, I investigated this website. This place is an open forum for sex. When they charge the man's credit card, it does not come up as Ashley Madison, obviously. As a woman, you don't even have to pay for it. This, I found to be funny.I merely put my weight and height and answered a couple of simple questions, nothing written down. I was inundated with proposals. It was a smorgasbord! Needless to say, I didn't pursue anything. But I could see how a woman can be overwhelmed by the choices available. Make no mistake, the men have to work for it. It's like fishing, the more lines they have in the water, the more likely they will hook a fish. But, there are fish to be had, if they are patient. There are even single men on the site and men in open relationships and couples looking for a third!
My husband saw it as safe because she (and the other women) waswas married. But she was sleeping around more than most singles before him!
I have told every one of my friends about this website. It seems most men have already heard of it, especially if they listen to Howard Stern.

What name does Ashley-Madison use when they bill you? Maybe that's on our statements.
If these sites are real - who in their right mind would think they would meet someone on here and fall in love - now that really is stupid.
Anyhow, a MM or MW doesn't need a website that speaks specifically to Marrieds who want affairs, in order to have one. We've all had experiences where "normal" (and I use that term loosely) outlets like FB, Yahoo, etc have stirred the Affair pot, in addition to the grocery store, work, bars, or the hundreds of other "regular" places people go. Marrieds can't be chained to the wall and only "let out" with a babysitter.
AM just puts it all in one place. Where there's a will, there's a way.

Yes i am angry and bitter at people like these, for I have been the victim of people like these. Why is the good ones with integrity get hurt the most? I have a guy in my band that said at our last gig that he thinks he does not have a girlfriend anymore, and proceeded to flirt heavily on my friend's wife's sister. He thinks he does not have a girlfriend, and is already off to the races. My one friend flirted with my girlfriend, before he knew, but he is stinking married, and I that is what bothered me most about it.
I think this website should be made illegal, because it is illegal. married couples have a legally binding contract, and this web site is enticing them to break that legal contract. They should also be held responsible for breaking up marriages. if you entice someone to kill or steal, are you not held responsible as well? We enter into a contract by choice marriage that is. We should be held responsible, and treat it as a fad, like my young cousin that just got married last year, and already has a new boyfriend even before they are divorced. More stories like this, and seems many in my family have no integrity, but it doe snot mean I will be led by their immorality.
