What the heck is the definition of a "Alpha Male" in these day and ages? A Leader of men? a guy that shows extreme confidence?

What about a guy who is a billionare but is a wimpy guy? is he still considered an alpha male cause he can buy influence/people/others things?

Is it the big physical dude? I think the definition is different for each women looking through their own lenses.

The old definition went something like this - An alpha male is some dude that is strong (good looking/confident) and spreads his seed - is that what girls would want? Do you all want that but again don't want that?

my lens is so out of whack I refrain from comment as it's just full of anger.
i do think that what attracts us to others runs very deep and is influenced by our earlier life relationships.

It's a term borrowed from the animal kingdom. The alpha male males has his choice of the females in the pack.

Pride and confidence define it in a human male.

Alpha male is a man who dominates and has a need to dominate people who are around him. Doesn't have to be a leader but can be (reversely a leader doesn't have to be an alpha male, though surely it would make his life easier). Doesn't need to be really succesful as long as he can find his little field/herd where he can dominate and rule.
I was never attracted to alpha males, but then I am not submissive enough so there is no way it would ever work :-). I mean yes, superficial attraction provided there would be intelectual compatibility (and physical acceptance), but without that - it would have been a no go.
Otherwords this would have never been a criteria to choose a man for me, and if for other reasons I would have found myself in a relationship with one it did not have much chance to last.

Actually all responses has been correct.

I was deemed an alpha male during my R time.

My mate was taken by another thus the reasoning for lack of R was damage to the Alpha Male mentality.

All here is correct.
