I just needed to share with you ladies since you are the only people that I feel could possibly understand this.
the other day I went to my husband's cousins 40th b'day party. She is a a really nice person and though I try to avoid most 'party' situations where there could be preggos or new mums, I though what the hell! it shouldn't be all about me.... so I got ready and got my self into party mode. I was so happy when I arrived not one preggo or new mum in site (isn't that pathetic lol). I was having a lovely time at my table with my cousin's in laws and my mother in law when the hostess (a friend had thrown the party for my husband's cousin) sits right across from me and says to me loudly and point black.... oh where are your children! I thought I would die!!!! I just wanted the earth to open up and swallow me... I just looked at her and somehow got out... 'I don't have any' and then she looked totally shocked and she says oh I could have sworn you had kids and I just said 'no I don't....' thankfully, though he was unaware of our situation, the cousins dad must of been able to tell that I was uncomfortable and made a joke to divert attention...
to say the least, the party lost its luster and since then I have had nightmares... people telling me in my dreams that I am barren and will never had kids, mocking me... its horrible
today I just feel blue, I'm waiting for AF to arrive so I can call the IVF clinic and start on our first cycle, but I'm really not holding out any hope
it just all feels hopeless right now

I can totally relate to how you are feeling. I'm constantly getting comments about when I'm going to have kids, esp from people I work with. (I chose not to share my infertility struggles with many people at work.) I cringe whenever I get asked the questions. Infertility is such an isolating feeling!
I also feel that most people don't understand. A few months back my mother in law said, "It's nothing to be worried about you've only been trying a few months..." (It had been 15 months of trying when she said this.) My mother in law of course was lucky enough to have 3 children in a 4 years. She is clueless!!! I was so mad, but "bit my tounge" because it was my mother in law.
I really hope you feel better. Know that you're not alone.
