Clomid is a miracle drug! You should not feel at all ashamed of taking it, just as a diabetic shouldn’t feel ashamed for needing insulin. It is not a moral failing on your part. Embrace it—it may very well be the key to finally getting what you’re after!

Oh no! So sad! There is no shame in it at all! 1 in 10 couples face infertility! That's 10% of everyone!!! When you see that positive pregnancy test or hold a precious little baby, you will be so thankful to any procedure, test or medication that got you there. This is just a step in your parenting journey! It does not define you!

I really saw clomid as an opportunity, not at all as shameful. Every person and every person's body is different, and it's not our fault. No one should feel ashamed that they need help conceiving...just like I wouldn't feel ashamed for being too short. It just so happens that this is your reality, and yes, of course, if you get pregnant, why would you continue taking clomid? They are probably just satisfying a legal duty by saying that, but you'd take clomid during days of your cycle when you can't possibly be pregnant, so it really should not be an issue. I think you can go back there with your head held high knowing that you are taking a step towards achieving your goal. And I guarantee you, the pharmacists don't care if you are dealing with infertility, at least not in a judgmental way. They see people dealing with all kinds of different issues, and I don't think they're judging anyone.

I completely understand. I felt the same way picking up the medications. I did 3 months of letrozole and month and month they would say "good luck hope you dont have to come back next month". Sure enough, I was there the next month. Its hard to stay so positive when you feel like every looks at you like there is something wrong with you. Or talks about how bad they feel for you. I feel like it does get better. I have started to tell myself each time that the medication is another chance. Sometime all we can ask for is another chance for our miracle. Now since i walk in with a little more of a positive attitude it seems like I have a better experience. Many of the techs offer encouragement now and acknowledge my perseverance. Good luck! I'm trying not to be a "Debbie Downer" here but at least you have that option. As soon as I had my IUD removed, I found out that my body had already started going through menopause and I'm only in my mid 30's with zero chance of getting pregnant. So as a response to your issue, defiantly be thankful you have an option and can take something that will improve your chances of getting pregnant because there are unlucky ones out there that don't have that choice. I understand where you are coming from. Every time I go to the pharmacy I go through the drive through because I don't want anyone to "catch" me getting my clomid and ask me what I am doing there. I am trying to keep my hopes up but I almost feel embarrassed that my body doesn't function correctly. I have been diagnosed with PCOS for about 10 years and my Husband and I have been TTC for just about 3 1/4 years. Im on my 3rd cycle and its so hard to get that BFN and have to go back to the pharmacy to pick up another script. Plus on top of everything I am a very private person and most of my family and friends don't know I am taking the clomid or TTC.
