I was told by my RE that if I take a HPT following a fresh IVF it could come back as a false positive because of the trigger shot. I am just wondering how many days you have to wait before you can POAS. I swore to my DH that I would not cheat this time because I started testing early with our last 2 FET's and drove myself (and him) crazy during that wait period because they were all neg. But here I am on day 3 after a Day 5 ET and can already feeling my resolve to not cheat weakening.

i here ya. I had my transfer on saturday so i am 6dpt. I am not peeing on a stick because i dont want any false positives or negatives. I desided to stick out the wait and do the blood test next thurdsay on day 12.. I hope i can stick to it!!!

Trigger shot stays in your system for 10 days. Go to the dollar store and buy a dozen tests and start peeing daily! Good luck!!

I decided not to cheat. These two weeks were horrible, but I rather know for sure when to get my hopes up and when being crash. I fill symptoms of AF, but I just don't know anymore. I think I will wait until the blood test. Well at list I will try.

I am there too. I just had my IUI yesterday and have resolved not to test until the evening of the 10th. I need to order my meds from England and the 11th is the last day I have to order in time for my next cycle. They are too expensive to order extra! Good luck waiting. I will probably cave some time next week myself!

I always ask myself if I will believe the test if I take it. If the answer is no I wait. So, I wait till 2 weeks after trigger which is usually 2 days before my scheduled beta. At that point I know that the trigger will be gone and if I'm pregnant there's enough hcg in my system to show on an hpt. My last treatment was a frozen cycle. My FET was on a Monday and I tested 2 Thursdays later and got a BFP. I didn't need the trigger shot so I didn't have the risk of a false positive.
