Zayannee
So many of my friends and myself have wonderd that if you have carried a baby that you miscarried are you really a mom.
Recently I had some testing done that proved that I dont have the best chances of having a biological child of my own. This has been hard for me to say the very least. People dont understand that this kind of news strips you of your identity, of everything you have ever dreamed of.
Sense the time I was five I have played mommmy with my baby dolls and little sister. I have played mommy with my husband with my dog. I have been a mommy 3 times althought I have no babies here on earth.
I have been struggling and tourturing myself with thoughts. Thinking that I dont want to have a baby if its half mine or somebody elses. I have just been really confused.
Somebody who was adopted here on DS made a comment to me that I am very thankful for and I really hope that if I pass this information on it can touch somebody else.
Genetics dont make a mom.
Hmmm funny thought I mean when I look at a mom and her child I dont think of genetics. i see the way that she cares for the child. i see the way she puts that child before herself. She feeds the child clothes the child loves the child. Althought I may never be able to create a child I can do all of these things and I feel that is what makes a mom.
Nomatter what is going on in your lives if you have lost a child, or dreamed of having one you dont have to wish to be a mom because you already are, congratulations to all the loving mommies here at DS.
What qualities make a mom to you? I am guessing it has little to do with genetics, chromosomes, or even birth. There is much more to it than this and we all have a chance because we are here on this earth and there are children who need moms everywhere.

I'm trying to exercise daily. I was doing fairly well until I sprained my ankle 2 weeks ago but now I'm getting back on the horse. Today I walked over a mile with my arm weights that are about 22lbs total. I was out of shape and it was hard on my arms. I also did my 30 situps. I'm also going to drink a lot of water and try to eat healthy. I do tend to have a sweet tooth but I'm cutting...
You go for it Zayannee and don't let anyone stop you, so long as you love your baby thats all that counts x
The test say that you "don't have the best chances". That doesn't mean that you have no chance. I truly understand your pain. But, try to keep the faith. No one knows what is in store for us except God. :D
