The down side of keeping quiet is having to grin and bear all those "So when are you two having a baby?" questions. C'mon already, clue phone, pick it up, it's for you! Can we start some kind of grass-roots movement to get the word out that folks shouldn't ask a couple this question.... ever!?
Thanks for posting this, the lot of us can relate to it, "the road less traveled" indeed!
The line about when the baby is placed in my arms was so beautiful it made me teary-eyed. I just can't imagine how elated and in complete awe and wonder I will be when that precious one is placed in my arms. I am so grateful for all the medical advances that have been discovered to make having a child possible for those with infertility. I don't know what I would have done if I lived in the decades when you just had to accept your diagnosis. I truly believe that God did help all those doctors and scientists come up with treatments. God loves children and I don't think he would deny anyone who wanted a child as much as we do the joy of experiencing that. Best wishes to you all and may your dreams of motherhood come to reality very soon!!
