What else should I try?

My name is Patricia Shultz, my husband and I have been attempting to have a child for over 3 years now. It seems we both have infertility issues as it just doesn't seem to want to happen for us. We are so fed up with the situation that we are considering adopting 2 boys, who are brothers in our local foster care system. Luckily, I have never had any miscarriages as I have heard is common with women battling infertility. We have tried different positions during intercourse, homemade remedies and just about everything except voodoo!

What have you tried and what seems to maybe work? Will I really never have a child to call my own?

Try using (if you haven't already) ovulation predictor kits you can find them easily at Walmart or online.
You could also try the sperm meet egg plan (google it)
You could try herbal stuff like Fertiliaid or fertilitea

You can always talk with your OB or maybe go see an RE they could always see if they can figure out what is causing your issues and suggest other courses of action or where they aid in conception like IUI or IVF if necessary.

The book Taking Charge of your Fertility really helps explain everything. You will feel empowered after reading it and getting a better grasp on why your body does what it does when it does. You will also be able to identify rather quickly if there are issues that you need to see a doctor about. (ie: symptoms of anovulation, poor quality CM, etc, that can cause IF). I bought my copy on half.com.

Have you been to a Reproductive Endocrinologist? I tried bbt, ovulation tests and neither worked for me.. I also took a prenatal vitamin. When I conceived my son 7 yrs ago I took Clomid that my RE prescribed. My DH and I are now TTC and I took Clomid this cycle and if this cycle doesn't work we will be doing more tests and then deciding where we will go from there. Good Luck!

Sounds like you should visit an RE if you haven't already. I use clomid and ovulation predictor kits. We did get pregnant but I miscarried. We are back on it again TtC. Good luck :-)

I also agree with the ovulation predictor kits. Considering you have been trying for awhile, an RE may not be a bad idea. They will start out by testing your husbands sperm and doing blood work on you and then go from there. We have been trying for 3 years as well. Don't give up hope! There are many options out there for those of us struggling with infertility! I hope you find the answers you're looking for.

I agree with the other ladies. It may be time to go see an RE to have some test done to try and determine the cause of your issues. It may be something that's an easy fix but you wouldn't know without test.

The Infertility Cure by Randine Lewis is a great book that defines each women's issues based on her body system. I also learned about a condition called elevated Natural Killer Cells (autoimmune disorder) that directly effects fertility. There is plenty of info online about both.
