I'm starting the PGD workups asap, then a few more hormonal checks to see if menopause is still far enough away, and we should be starting in Jan/Dec with the actual IVF.

It's soo scary, so much hope and so many statistics against us.
I can't allow myself to get too excited, I just hope the knot in my stomach is replaced with a kicking baby.

I have mosaic Turner's Syndrome, but produce my own eggs.

i wish you the best..ivf worked for me..im 35 weeks along now..it took three years to get there..iui's surgeries and even three attmepts at ivf, but with every cycle they found out more helpful info to make the next cycle better..pleasemessage me with any questions about the process along the way!!

I am currently in the 2ww of my first IVF cycle. The only advice I have is to not let yourself feel overwhelmed. Take each step one at a time. Instead of looking at I'll be doing stims for 10-12 days, I took it day by day. When the meds arrive, it is overwhelming how many there are. They send enough for the whole cycle and you really need to set aside a space where you plan to administer your meds so it's all organized and I found a checklist helpful to make sure I was doing what I needed to do appropriately. I don't know the outcome yet, but hopefully it will be a good one! Good luck to you too!

Hi there..just wanted to wish you luck with your appointment. It can all be very overwhelming...all of the info..all of the meds...etc.

I started IVF not really knowing very much about it. We did 3 unmedicated IUI's...all BFN's and then we did IVF with ICSI and got a BFP on our first cycle. Im currently 31 weeks with a baby boy.

Before I started my stims and all of that I looked at a lot of YouTube videos to get an idea of what I was looking forward to...and that actually helped a LOT!! Especially before the nurses taught me how to do the meds...I felt like I had a better understanding of it all.

One of the things I learned from the videos is like what Natalie said. Find a spot to keep everything neat and organized. You will receive so much stuff at once. We actually kept a shoe box sized tupperware container on our kitchen counter with everything that we needed for about a weeks worth of shots. Everything else we kept in the bag it came in in our closet and would just go to it to refill our box in kitchen. That helped a lot.

And try not to stress too much..take it all one step at a time. It really is very overwhelming...but if you just take it day by day you will be OK.

Good luck. I fell pregnant after our first IVF - after four failed IUI's. The procedure was not too different from the IUI. Just extra doses of the meds and for me a slightly longer protocol. There were no different side effects (other than the usual tender breasts and stuff that I experienced even with IUI). I had to take Gonal F, Cyclogest and Ovidrel. The egg retrieval was uneventful but I had some pain for the next day or so. The embryo transfer was also uneventful and there was no pain whatsoever after.

You will need to take the meds at approximately the same time everyday. Your RE will give you an exact time to take the trigger shot (which in my case was Ovidrel). You will need to go in for a few routine scans to see how the follicles are progressing. Every woman has a different number that is produced.

i was so scared of ivf..... from the needles to the pain of the ER to the fact that i was going to have a test tube baby...... but...... the shots didnt bother me at all..... i loved loved loved the center we went to..... the ER was nothing at all...... the whole proc. was so interesting i am really glad i did it.... . ( this was after 9 iui's) i have pics of my twins as eggs.... as sperm...... as 8 celled embies...... good luck, and its normal to be nervous, but i think you will be surprised how its not that bad....

This is my first time doing IVF! It's very exciting, but so scary and nerve wracking too. I start Gonal F on Thursday for 8-10 days then the ER/ET soon there after. Looking at a 2nd week in August BETA to see if we have a BFP!!! I wish you all the best of luck and praying for your BFP!!!
