Just when I thought I was handling the holidays pretty well, we got another pregnancy announcement today. My DH and I were discussing the Christmas gathering on his side of the family. He called his sister to ask a few questions. His nephew answered and said "have you heard" No, heard what? He and his GF are getting married and oh by the way, you're going to be a great uncle cuz she's pregnant too! I just cannot believe it. We've been trying for 4 years, 9 IUIs, 2 miscarriages, 2 D&Cs, 2 chemical pregnancies, tons of shots and pills and billions of tears and what do we get for it all, absolutely nothing. Then DH's nephew get's his short term girlfriend pregnant obviously not trying at all. On top of this they have known for a long time and just haven't told us! Do they feel sorry for us or something? He said he thought aunt Jess would have told you. Well, I just spoke to Jess yesterday and she did not say a word about it to me.. Thank God we found out prior to seeing them for Christmas. I am so glad we got advance warning. They already know they are having a boy so I'm sure she's showing by now. Of course DH didn't ask any questions so I have no idea when she's due or anything. We've never even met this girl!! The first time we meet her she will be pregnant and engaged. To make matters even worse last year when we celebrated Christmas with them I was pregnant. We had just announced our news. Two weeks later we lost our dream. The holidays have been so tough for me because I can't stop thinking about how last year I kept thinking about how this Christmas we would have our baby, we would be a family. Now, we are no closer to having a family and we have to spend our holidays with DH's nephew and his GF who is pg.! Uggg................
To make matters even worse DH is acting like I shouldn't be feeling like this. He actually told me I was acting like a spoiled brat. I am so mad at him right now for saying that. Obviously he has no idea how hurt and depressed I am if he can tell me I'm acting like a spoiled brat.

My Grandma, of course, it upset with me. But like I told her, better for me to avoid this upsetting position than to ruin everyone elses Christmas. Lately I have become very blunt with others aobut how I feel & I know I wouldn't be quiet around my sister.
Sometimes I feel as if life is so unfair!!
I also feel this way too, and it just seems that everytime you turn around BOOM another pg woman!!! It's not that you desire bad things for them, its just a feeling of fustration!!!
Let it all out girl!!
p.s. Spoiled brat, huh? Sometimes guys don't know how to get us out of our bad moods. Guess they think tough love will work? Just pisses me off, too!
Men just cannot understand how we feel, I know they feel pain and heartache but I don't think they can truly empathise with our heartwrenching desire and desparation to become mothers. The pain we feel is like no other. You have every right to feel the way you do. Stay strong.
