When i saw you post, I thought to myself that your husband and my husband may have the same problem. We went to a urologist 2 years ago and he said that my husband "might" need a surgery due to a possible varicocele. The sperm analysis reveals low sperm count and some abnormal sperm, so the doctor thinks it may be due to varicocele. But he also told us that we can still get pregnant without the surgery, so we decided not to do it....yet
I don't have a success story of my own, but to be honest, I think you are your own success story. I mean, at least you are doing something about it, you know. My husband and I decided not to do anything invasive. I am trying to "fix" his sperm with vitamins/supplements and then going to do another sperm analysis. ( 2 different doctors approved what he is taking). I hope your husband's surgery goes well, and please keep us posted.:)
My hubby is on fertilaid too, for several months. He is also taking Count Boost. The hope is that if the count does increase, the amount of normal sperm will go up as well. And the doctor also suggested CoQ10. We are both taking it because it helps with sperm and egg quality. I am still skeptical about fertilaid so if it doesnt work, I will just switch him to regular men's vitamins.
We are just living in the moment, trying not to think too much about the baby anymore, even though I can tell you that it is running on the background of my mind every single day.
I am surprised to hear about testosterone supplements. My husband's urologist/fertility specialist said that testosterone supplements would actually make him more infertile and advised against it.
