Just wondering if anyone else took time off from work during IVF cycle? I am in the middle of my 3rd fresh cycle. Just went today for ultrasound and blood work. I told them that this is the worst I have felt compared to the other 2 cycles. They changed the meds this round. I am super nauseous (think trash can next to my desk), soooo fatigued, dizzy, and just feel terrible. I have a pretty hectic job, and have to be on-call which means I get woken up alot at night. So my RE wrote me off until after the retrieval next week. Anybody else take time off during the IVF process? I have never been off on medical leave so I am feeling a little guilty even though I know I need the rest.
Because I understand high stress jobs and trying to be everything to everyone, I hope for all you ladies to feel okay about taking a time out from your normal routines while going through this difficult journey. We are all spending so much money to do this, and while the bills do add up and we want to pay them OFF, we are putting our marriages, our bank accounts and our bodies through so much not to just take a step back and focus on all of our number one priorities!!
There will always be money to be made. There will be the work out and diet programs once we get our families. This is our chance to be selfish and focus on what we want most in the world. To meet the children we were meant to have.
