Tilted uterus and ???

Hello Ladies!

I just wondered if anyone could help me with a couple of questions?? I was told awhile ago that I have a tilted uterus and I have asked health professionals about it and if it affects my chances of getting pregnant and they said 'no'. Recently, I spoke with a lady who was also told the same thing and she said that it does affect sperm flow? I have always been curious if it does reduce my chances of becoming pregnant? I would appreciate any expertise if anyone knows?? I will also be asking my RE Doc the next time that I see her, to see what she thinks.

Also, I heard that it is only advantageous to have sex during the days that you are most fertile? If you have sex at other times it may decrease your chances of becoming pregnant? Please let me know if you have any advice - I always appreciate hearing from you ladies!

I have a tilted or inverted uterus as well. I can't remember what word they used. I was told it was not a big deal at all, and it's just a trait that some women have. I was never told it was causing any of my problems.

I also have a tilted uterus and so does my mom. My obgyn said it does not affect the chances of conceiving either. There are definitely periods of your cycle where you are ovulating in which case is the best time to ttc. Usually the last week before your period are dry days and you are not producing during that time. However every person is different and if you are on fertility drugs this does not necessarily apply. Also no one ovulates at the same time some 10 days some 14 and some even as late as 20 days into the cycle. It is always advantagious to become familiar with your body and signs of ovulation to better increase your chances

I have a tilted uterus also. And I wasn't told about it till after I got pregnant, so I don't think it will have too much of an affect on you getting pregnant. Good luck.

Hey there Pmcclure! My sister has a tilted uterus and it did not affect her ability to conceive - she has two boys. It did take her 6 months and 12 months though to finally conceive but we both thought that it was due to being on BC so long (over a decade).

I was actually told the opposite of that myth - my dr's told my DH and I that it is good to practice because sperm is most effective if it is less than 5 or 4 days old. Basically, it is good to have sex at least once a week to keep the sperm at their peak. Good luck!
