I am new to DailyStrength. Having been diagnosed with very high FSH (50 on the first test, then down to 20) and told that there was very little chance, if any, that I would ever have my own child (other than via an egg donor) a year ago it's been quite a journey! I have learned so much about myself, my relationships, and also about eastern medicine. I decided to join this group after feeling myself sinking into depression and feeling very alone.

I have found online groups like this to be a great platform for asking questions about medications, procedures, and for supporting each other. I have also realized lately what a gap there is in support and understanding for women faced with infertility regarding the emotions, the impact on a marriage, and all those "not so nice" thoughts we can have seeing everyone around us getting pregnant one after another.

I have started a blog hoping to create such a place for us. A place not to talk so much about the medication, or the procedures, but the hopes growing and the hopes dashed, and the places in us as women that can be deeply wounded by the very word "infertility."

The western medical world can be so punishing on our bodies, and so completely uncaring about the emotional and physical toll we pay. I am finding that only other women who are walking this same path can possibly understand.
