All the women my age either at church or work, or wherever, have kids.
I am always telling my husband that I feel like I just don't fit in.
While I am glad now that I am not alone in feeling this way, I am so sorry that you have experienced this as well.
Friend list me if you'd like.
you are not alone.....
you are not alone.....
Anyway, when the conversations with moms are about their pregnancy and birth stories, I feel like an outsider and the longing is painful. And, of course, someone always says to me, "Oh, you're SO lucky, you didn't have to go through all of the pain/stretch marks/weight gain/saggy boobs/ etc.etc"
If only they knew!
Take care and let yourself feel sad when you need to - it's all a grieving process.
Also, a close friend of mine had another friend who I did know from high school but was never friends with who made a HUGE deal about her kids and just having kids and being a mom, etc. (never thinking that was maybe what I wanted) and she apparently at one point told my friend that I was "nice" she guessed, but she just had "nothing in common" with me since she was a SAHM and I was career-oriented and went out alot or whatever her deal was ... now its funny cause I am a SAHM who just works on the side (to keep my career still an option) and am relatively comfortable on my DH's salary and what I can add, and she is still a very struggling SAHM whose DH cannot support her in the manner she thinks she should and she is a bitter b&*$#.
