ok so is it or is it not ok to have sex during your 2ww. my dh and i will be celebrating our 2 year wedding anniversay on day 7 of our wait and i don't want to mess anything up. HELP!

I am not sure of this either. I tried looking it up the other day and only found contradicting opinions. I figured as long as you are careful (not to wild) you will be ok. Unless you did IVF then I am not sure at all

My doctor said do not have sex during the 2ww. The reason being that it can affect the stability of your cervix and uterus. I would check with your doctor.

Happy Anniversary!! If you did IVF, nothing in vagina for two weeks. Other than that, check with your doc. Oh, and best of luck to you!!!

Happy Anniversary! I was told no sex during the 2ww. Doctors are worried that the contractions from an orgasm will help de-stabalize the embryo implanting. Interesting stuff..

My RE said NO WAY! He said you are to do as little physical activity as possible during the 2ww, including that :-(

I am in my 2ww also, and my Dr. gave me strick instructions, no sex, no tampoons, no anything except the progestrone vaginal suppositories that I am using.

I got the same instructions has Hopefulchick. I am also not permitted to swim, take baths, hot tubs (not that I normally hot tub) or orgasm ( TMI i know, just trying to be helpful).

It is not OK to have sex during the 2 weeks if you are doing IUI and not IVF? My doctor hasn't said anything one way or the other.

I have heard no-wait- its just not worth it. My first IVF tey told me it was fine RIGHT away and I can help but always wonder if that affected it- you have to eliminate anything that might stress you out wondering- sorry to be personal, but this time around I am going to not have intercourse but am going to force myself to be more inventive!!!
There is so much we dont know- why take the risk?
